    Hello!

What is your opinion of the best devices to automate with plug-in or in-line modules (other than lighting).

If I put my TV on a switch (although it does allow me to limit their time…) – my Android based Sony TV will take a long time to boot up.

I’d love to do curtains – but I don’t class that as a simple install – mostly because of how to route the power cable.

So – what have you guys done and what do you suggest?

    Cheers!

My personal favorite is my tea kettle.
I have tasker on my phone and have set it up so that it automatically turns the kettle on as I approach the house in my car.
Kettle just boiled by the time I get in through the front door!

Other than that, my study is mostly on lightwaver sockets EXCEPT FOR the desktop box which stays on. Dual monitors, powered speakers, printer etc. all turn on/off by 1 button push (or in fact one voice command – more tasker and smartwatch tomfoolery)

Neat. I think the Kettle is going to be my first test tonight.

    Any other suggestions anyone?
