    Hi All,

I’ve recently installed a lightwaverf thermostat and boiler switch in an effort to reduce my carbon footprint and save a few pennies in the process.

However, I have a lodger who keeps turning it up when I’m not about. Normally not a problem, but he’s turning it up to “Sauna” mode. Is there any way to set a maximum temperature, or alerts (maybe IFTTT) for when he does this?

I know I probably sound like a crazy landlord buy it’s never cold by anyone’s definition, and I came home today to find the flat was 28 degrees.

    Hi Cabbage,

If you get stuck, my system can monitor, (control / override) and alert you via SMS of anything you want it to.

In this example, you could set a rule where, if the setpoint goes above x, set it to y, and tell you its happened.

    Hi Neil,

I’m stuck. Very stuck. Is your system easy to set up?

    Hi Cabbage,

No, it’s not hard, but (at the moment) require’s a Raspberry Pi to act as client to the cloud service.

If you’d like to know me, I’m available on email (skivy71[at]gmail[dot]com or skype – skiv211271
