I was wondering if you can help me..

I’ve just installed a Lightwave RF dimmer switch for the bathroom, my fan is wired to the light switch and should, once switched off, keep going for a certain time then switch off itself.

The issue i have is that since wiring the new light switch the fan just keeps on going, my electrician has tested it and seems to think this is because the Lightwave RF switch allows a small amount of electricity to pass through even when the lights are off meaning the fan stays on. sorry for the terminology I’m no electrician.

Has anyone else had this issue and know a way round it?

Yes your electrician is spot on with his diagnosis. There is no way round this so you’ll really have to take the fan out of the dimmers circuit and find another way to operate it. I have a LWRF relay connected to the bathroom fan controlled by a magnetic switch on the shower enclosure door. The mag switch has an adjustable off delay which I find ideal in this application.
