My WiFi link appears to have failed this morning. I need to replace it and wondered if there is any advantage to buying the newer version, at a higher cost or should I just buy and older version from Maplins for £45? I am going to replace it anyway, when HomeKit is integrated?
For my sins I have used both. In my experience there have been no functional differences with the caveat that I do not use any of the heating products.
What I can say though is that THE OLD VERSION IS AN ORDER OF MAGNITUDE EASIER TO WORK WITH because it has an lcd screen telling you what’s going on. (or not going on!)
Yea, if you can get the old and for less, its a no brainerdeveloper of BMS Link (http://linode.bmslink.co.uk). A cloud based Home Automation platform for LightwaveRF, Z-Wave, RFXCOM.
