    Hi all

I have a PLC (and I’m a PLC programmer). I wondered how do lightwave devices communicate? Does anyone know?

I’d like to set up a touchscreen and use it (via a PLC) to control devices.

Many thanks for any help you can give me.

    Cheers :-)

Lightwaverf uses a udp protocol see

    https://api.lightwaverf.com/

There are plenty of third party applications that can control lightwaverf hardware most make use of at use of a third party controller that replaces the wifi link

Third party applications are either based on hardware solutions vera, smart things, homey or via a raspberry pi using free community based software such as Domoticz, HA-Bridge ,Openhab, home assistant, etc. Most of these have mature web, android and IOS interfaces

I have written a Lua based link using the UDP api for Domoticz see

    Plenty of options use google
