I’m intrigued to figure out how the LightwaveRF slave dimmer works in a 2-way lighting circuit, I can’t figure it out therefore I wondered if anyone can help.

I’ve read the Vesternet guide (https://www.vesternet.com/resources/application-notes/apnt-4) which states that the slave dimmer uses a 12V signal wire between the master and slave unit.

If the device was an ON/OFF unit then the operation of the 12V signal wire would be relatively simple to understand…perhaps the slave unit would activate the 12V signal when it wants the master to turn ON the light and a 0V when it wants the master to turn OFF the light?

…but how does it work in dimming mode??? Does anyone know?

    Thanks
